MCP connection

Let agents like Claude Code and Cursor read your canvas cards and lay them out, connect them and edit their prompts. Four steps to connect.

Agents can't run paid actions such as generating or upscaling. Those stay with you, confirmed on the site.

1

Step 1: API token

Starts with tvk_ and is shown only once, when you create it. Choose canvas read-only or canvas read and write; it lasts 7, 30 or 90 days.

Step 2: Add it to your client

Pick your client and copy the setup. Then replace the part in angle brackets, brackets included, with your real token.
Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user tovaki https://tovaki.com/agent/v1/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_TOKEN>"

Run it once in a terminal; with --scope user, Claude Code can use the tovaki tools in any folder.

Transport
Streamable HTTP (POST only)
Auth
Bearer token

Step 3: Pick a project

Every tool needs a project ID. The agent can't look up your projects, so copy one from here.

Step 4: Keep the canvas open, then ask

The agent's commands wait in a queue and run only while this project's canvas is open in a foreground tab: it checks about every 10 seconds and runs up to 5 at a time.

Try asking your agent

  • Arrange the cards in project <PROJECT_ID> in a row
  • In project <PROJECT_ID>, split this script into 6 shot cards and connect them in order: …
  • Reset the failed cards in project <PROJECT_ID>
